Answer engine FAQ
Straight answers about AI-search readiness
What does AISO scan?
AISO scans crawler access, content structure, citation density, structured data, freshness, entity clarity, off-site authority, and optional live runtime citation visibility across major AI engines.
Do I need llms.txt to appear in Google AI features?
No. Google says existing SEO fundamentals still apply to AI features and that no special AI text file is required. AISO treats llms.txt as an optional discovery layer for AI tooling and some crawlers, not as a universal prerequisite.
Does AISO test live AI answers or only page markup?
Both. The deterministic scanner grades the page itself, and the optional runtime panel runs live prompts against configured engines to see whether your domain is actually cited.
Are AISO scan URLs public?
Yes. Completed scans are public and shareable so teams can compare scores, attach badges, and link reports in docs or pull requests.
Built by AGNT
